AUDITIONS
Aladdin JR.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority at TATE Academy, and we have been closely monitoring the situation with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Given the serious nature of this disease, we have decided to postpone our Aladdin JR. auditions until further notice. We know this is disappointing, but the important thing is that everyone stays healthy and safe. We would very much like to move forward with this production at a later date, and will keep you informed of our plans.
Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about a “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. When Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and a Genie who has the power to grant three wishes, he embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters and some new songs, this adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” of entertainment for actors and audiences!
Students in grades 3 - 9 are eligible
to audition for Aladdin Jr.
Auditions will take place on the following dates:
Monday, March 23rd Tuesday, March 24th
Wednesday, March 25th Thursday, March 26th
Saturday, March 28th
Aladdin Jr. will be performed at The Ellen Theatre
on May 16th and 17th.
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on April 4th.
All rehearsals will be held at The Ellen Theatre
Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM,
and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
We may not need everyone at all rehearsals at first, but will need the entire cast as we get closer to performances.
If cast in Aladdin there is a $225 participation fee.
Scholarship money is available to those who require
financial assistance.
